Journalism in the age of the Wiki (and Flickr)

I am more and more impressed by the power, speed, and diligence of the Wikipedia and Flickr communities. Wikipedia coverage of the London Bombings.

I wonder what the readership of the Wikipedia is, and how it compares to major news outlets. Also interesting to me is the fact that London is one of the most heavily (if not the most heavily) surveilled cities in the world.
