"Life creates conditions condusive to life"

This incredibly inspiring presentation by Janine Benyus almost reduced me to tears. She is a science writer, innovation consultant, conservationist, but I'll call her a "mimeticist" because she looks at nature and shows us how we can learn from billions of years of R&D, millions of examples of beautifully elegant solutions to the problems which plague our current human-inflicted ecosystem -- most of which can be boiled down to waste management and terrible inefficiency.

What a great speaker and impassioned advocate for sustainability.

OMG! i saw her/this presentation at cooper union at a textiles conference last fall. clearly right up my alley, science, sustainability and textiles.
i could geek out ALL over this subject.
