Howard Johnson is closing its Times Square location. :( I used to love Howard Johnson's. I remember my dad taking us there for ice cream sundaes when we were on road trips. Somehow, the food was always better there than at other joints on the road. Not spectacular, but just better.
And who knew that Jacques Pepin started his career in America at Howard Johnson's? I love that guy.
